Our Leadership Summary

Michael J. Kendrick

Mr. Kendrick is the president of Climax Molybdenum. Michael Kendrick has been with Freeport-McMoRan since 1997, working in leadership positions at numerous sites in North and South America. In 2008, he became Vice President Technical Services-Climax Molybdenum Co., and in 2009, moved to the role of Vice President-Operational Improvement, Freeport-McMoRan Mining Co. Michael Kendrick has a long history with Climax Molybdenum, first working at the Climax Mine during summers when he was in college. Soon after graduating, he worked at the Henderson Mine in various positions, including general laborer, foreman, customer quality manager, associate mill engineer and senior metallurgical engineer. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in mining engineering with a minor in metallurgical engineering, from the Colorado School of Mines and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver.

Barbara J. Buck

Ms. Buck is the Vice President, Marketing and Sales. Barbara joined Climax Molybdenum in 2005. She has held sales, marketing, and business management positions with Union Carbide, Amoco Chemical and UCB Chemical. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and completed the Wharton Senior Management Program.

Timothy J. Olson

Mr. Olson is the Controller of Climax Molybdenum Company and is responsible for all financial matters related to Climax. Tim has held several financial positions within Freeport-McMoRan and has been with Freeport-McMoRan since 1986. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and has completed an Executive Management Program at Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Anand S. Raman

Mr. Raman is the Vice President, Technology and Downstream Operations for Climax Molybdenum. Anand’s previous positions included Senior Manager – Process Plant at Tenke Fungurume Mining, a Freeport-McMoRan affiliate in the Democratic Republic of Congo, from 2009 to 2013; Director of Processing for Freeport-McMoRan from 2006 to 2009, supporting the company’s global hydrometallurgical operations; and various leadership positions at the Arizona and New Mexico operations beginning in 1990. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay, a Master of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Missouri and a Master of Business Administration degree from Western New Mexico University.
